Warm summer evenings are underway, which means it’s time to gather friends and family to experience the magic of films al-fresco in a host of beautiful settings across the UK. Cinema under the stars!

The Luna Cinema, in partnership with Little Moons, is celebrating its 15th consecutive year of open-air cinema with a brand-new programme that promises an epic summer of cinema under the stars. With over 150 screenings at more than 40 stunning locations, including familiar favourites and brand-new venues, tickets are on sale now – https://www.thelunacinema.com/cinema/.

An exclusive location in the 2022 summer season includes the stunning venue of Bolton Abbey. Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire Dales, this majestic location with the ruined Priory will provide the ultimate backdrop for a fantastic night of cinema under the stars. The programme at Bolton Abbey not one, but two award winning film titles. Back on the big screen as originally intended, take your pick from Oscar winning West Side Story,and Bond’s latest outing, No Time to Die.

Cosy up with your plus-one for the evening on Luna’s brand-new Date Night Double Deckchair, which is positioned prior to your arrival to ensure the perfect view. Audiences can also choose to upgrade their general admission ticket with an optional seated ticket to include the use of a Luna director’s chair, or for the ultimate VIP experience guests can opt for the VIP Sofa, which offers two people the chance to watch the film from luxury sofa seating with blankets, heaters and a bottle of bubbly.

A variety of delicious food partners will be present at all screenings, as well as a full bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can also pre-order food and drink hampers when booking tickets via the website, which are filled with tasty treats, including Little Moons’ delicious mochi ice cream balls, the perfect treat to snack on as you relax in the open air and soak up the atmosphere. Audiences are welcome to dig out their hampers and pack a picnic of their own (though the bringing of alcohol to the events is restricted). Both food and drink at Luna’s screenings will be available to order using a handy “click and collect” service to avoid time spent queuing.

Headline partner for 2022, the nation’s favourite mochi ice cream Little Moons, is proud to partner with The Luna Cinema for the upcoming season. Their delicious ice cream treats will be available at all venues to give Luna audiences the perfect cinema snack this summer. You’ll be spoilt for choice with some of Little Moons’ best-selling flavours available on site, choose from Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut (Vegan), Tropical Passionfruit & Mango (Vegan), Creamy Coconut, Honey Roasted Pistachio as well as Himalayan Salted Caramel & Summer Raspberry. Alongside this, Little Moons are planning a number of surprises throughout the season including the world’s first giant mochi art installation, so stay tuned for more information.
