Upscale Hotel in Manchester’s Vibrant Piccadilly District

A new era of luxury and comfort has commenced at one of Manchester’s largest hotels. The recent refurbishment of the Marriott Piccadilly Manchester has elevated the hotel, bringing new energy to the city.

The hotels prime Piccadilly location is just one of the many reasons to stay. With the new sophisticated makeover of their 338 rooms and suites, you can experience the best of Manchester in style whether you are in town for business or pleasure.

Entering through the revolving doors, the lobby area welcomes you with open arms. It’s now a more contemporary space with lots of contrasting patterns, comfy seating areas and loads of natural light. Rooms and suites have been completely transformed and I was more than happy to check in and take full advantage of all the upgraded features!

Staying in one of the top floor panoramic suites, the first thing which strikes you again, is all the natural light flooding in. The suite overlooked the train station on one side and practically the rest of Manchester on the other! Living super close to one of London’s busiest train stations myself, I loved being so close to the hub. Each room features plush bedding, high-end furnishings and all the little creature comforts you could want or need.

A short walk from the hotel is the vibrant Northern Quarter, with plenty of independent bars and vintage boutiques. Plus, you are ideally placed to easily reach iconic attractions such as the Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester Cathedral or for all the footie fans, a visit to Old Trafford.

With an onsite restaurant and bar, you can dine in and work your way through the cocktail list or if you fancy, stay in your robe for the duration of your stay and order room service. I got cosy and smashed a large portion of nachos in bed whilst watching some evening TV! This was perfect after a full day’s work and hot shower.

As this was a work-cation for me, I found working in both my room and the newly opened M Club Lounge productive. The lounge is a brand-new space which is for all premier guests to use along with Marriott Bonvoy members. If you book a premium room, you get exclusive access to this space for the entire stay with complimentary drinks and food. Happy hour is such a treat here as it runs from 5-9pm and there is a great selection of nibbles (which I totally filled up on).

There is a wellness element too with a fitness centre and wellness suite. Guests can maintain their workout routines or unwind in the sauna and steam room after a day exploring the city. The hotel also offers a range of spa treatments designed to rejuvenate and refresh.

There are regular offers at the hotel and with Easter looming, if you don’t have plans yet it is worth making a note that the hotel is currently offering the ‘Kids Eat and Stay Free’ promotion. For family bookings, this is such a brilliant idea to help make your stay effortless and not worry about going over budget. As an aunty and godmother, I can appreciate gestures like this especially when it is my turn to organise outings and trips!

I can safely say, the revamped Marriott Piccadilly Manchester has started a new chapter, combining comfort with luxury but still maintained some of Manchester’s industrial past and culture, making it the ideal place to stay for your visit to Manny!
