This Grade II listed Manor House just outside of Stroud offers the classic Cotswolds experience and now it’s got an upgrade.
Here’s five reasons to make Burleigh Court Hotel your Cotswolds stay this summer.
Reason 1: the wellness garden
Burleigh Court is set in four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, and to the rear of the property you will now find their newly opened Wellness Garden Nature Spa. This peaceful oasis is home to the ‘Hobbit Hut’, where you can book yourself a treatment, and a sauna and jacuzzi in which to unwind.

This quintessentially English garden also has a stunning Victorian plunge pool, complete with ornate tiling and a subtle trickling fountain providing the perfect calming backdrop to this little haven. On a sunny day there is no better place to be.
Reason 2: the food
June saw David Brown, formerly of Gleneagles, take over as Head Chef at The Burleigh, the onsite 2AA Rosette restaurant. David has over 20 years’ experience and is serving seriously good ‘Cotswolds Reimagined Cuisine’.

Utilising ingredients from their onsite kitchen garden, this sustainably sourced menu offers inventive and delicious dishes such as their Duck 3 Ways with Peach. Tasting menus are available on Friday and Saturday nights making it the perfect treat whilst you are away.
Reason 3: the interiors
The interiors here are a brilliant mix of contemporary touches with classic country design, making this grand manor house feel homely. They have recently renovated two of their rooms with Room 4 boasting a bold mural, four poster bed and dual aspect windows, meaning that you will wake up feeling like a princess.

We stayed in one of their Splendid Rooms, Room 3, which has two bay windows overlooking the lawns. Despite its grand size, it is also cosy and gave us the perfect night’s sleep
Reason 4: family friendly
Burleigh Court welcomes families and has a poolside Family Suite designed to make sure everyone is comfortable with two bedrooms, containing bunks for the little ones, a king size bedroom for the adults and a lounge which opens out directly onto the pool area.
Reason 5: dog friendly
There is no need to leave Rover at home. The hotel welcomes furry friends and with nature trails and walks in this area of outstanding natural beauty, they will have the best time away with you. There is even a Dog Bar so they can get a drink any time they like!
If you have been looking for a wellness staycation within easy driving distance of London, look no further than Burleigh Court Hotel in the Cotswolds.
