Asimina Suites Hotel, Cyprus: a Blissful Beachfront 5 Star Haven

Is it time to escape the struggle of January and fly away to the easy life? As of April 2025, Asimina Suites Hotel in Paphos Cyprus will open their doors to their tranquil beachside haven, where “adults only” rest and recuperate.

Who doesn’t want to be greeted with canapes and champagne in a VIP lounge after a four hour flight to Cyprus? These thoughtful touches will impress the most seasoned traveller, as we all know too well that slightly frazzled and anxious feeling on arrival. A VIP welcome is an instant. reassuring relaxer and sets the scene nicely at this 5* resort.

The fact that the hotel only has suites and some of those are private pool suites, means that space will not be an issue. Huge beds, generous amounts of storage, large balconies, and bathrooms with both a bath and shower come as standard. The rooms are palatial and benefit from effective air conditioning which stays on when you leave the room, meaning that you can come back to an icy haven, which I imagine is priceless during a Cypriot summer.

However, you cannot talk about the rooms without discussing their most impressive feature – the view. Waking up to waving palm trees framing the view of the expertly manicured pool complex and out to the Aegean Sea is just heavenly, and the dopamine hit that we all need in our lives.

This leads me to the serious question of how to fill your days?

The hotel offers All-inclusive, B&B, Half Board, Full Board or their deluxe package which is an ultra all inclusive option. There is a varied schedule of activities and classes to keep you entertained from Gin Tasting to Aqua Aerobics, there is something for everyone. If you wish to work off the meals from the four a la carte restaurants or buffet there is a huge, modern gym and regular yoga classes that you can join. They even have tennis courts discreetly hidden by a hedge, so you don’t have to feel guilty whilst sipping on a Pina Colada. You can partake in as much or as little as you choose. What you will notice is whilst there’s lots to do, the overall vibe is very chilled.

If the thought of activities all sounds a bit too much and you are in the mood for some pampering, then maybe I can interest you in their Elixir Spa. I received a beautifully executed, therapeutic head-to-toe massage, one of their signature treatments, followed by a steam bath and sauna, it really is a haven within a haven.

If you should wish to leave the hotel, which is unlikely since it’s located on the largest beach in Paphos and has an amazing poolside drinks service, but if you do want to add some variety to your stay, there are lots of attractions on your doorstep.

Cyprus is famous for its well-preserved archaeological sites and there are some excellent ones to visit a short drive from Asimina Suites Hotel. The Sanctuary of Apollo dates from the 8th century BC and is breathtaking, as is the Roman Amphitheatre of Kourion. There are so many different sites to visit, and you can buy visitor passes that range from one to seven days, which will grant you access to all the museums and ancient monuments.

If wine tasting is more your speed, then you are in the right place. The wine industry is a significant contributor to the Cypriot economy, and it produces some excellent wines. The winery at Ktimagerolemo holds wine tasting brunches overlooking the most beautiful scenery which can be booked via the hotel.

Most of the staff have worked at this hotel in Cyprus for years which brings with it a familiarity and friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for some sunshine and pampering.
