New data from Perfect Stays, the luxury holiday rental specialists, has found that wellness-led staycations are no longer just a niche trend; they are now becoming the standard.
The travel company found that holiday homes with wellness facilities now account for 62% of all bookings taken so far in 2026. This has risen from 53% in 2025,47% in 2024 and 43% in 2023, highlighting a clear year-on-year shift towards focused wellness breaks.
The data suggests that wellness travellers are now choosing a holiday rental to curate a personalised, private experience over a typical spa retreat. Commenting on the booking trends, Joe Knight, Head of Sales and Guest Experience, says:
