What’s New in Estonia for 2026?

The number of UK travellers visiting Estonia is set to increase in 2026, with a greater choice of flight connections from the UK, new hotels, luxury wellness retreats, nature stays, cultural events and outdoor experiences across the country.

Here are all the reasons you should visit Estonia this year, and beyond.

New Flight Connections: Island escapes & Christmas market breaks

  • Estonia will be more easily accessible from across the UK in 2026 with Jet2 launching new direct flights from Leeds-Bradford and London Gatwick to Tallinn between 19th November and 10th December, building on the Christmas market services from Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham launched in 2025, with prices starting from £84 per person.
  • Finnair will be launching a three-times weekly flight from Heathrow, via Helsinki, to Estonia’s largest island Saaremaa on 8th June. Ideal for those seeking an island escape or exploring Estonia’s stunning coastal towns, beaches and islands this summer, with prices starting from £60 per person.

New Hotel Openings Across Estonia

Estonia’s accommodation landscape continues to evolve, with a mix of international brands, boutique hotels, luxury retreats and nature immersion stays opening across the country. 2025 saw the opening of several big brand hotels in Tallinn, including Hampton by Hilton, Ibis Styles and Hyatt Place, as well as the luxury Burman Hotel. In 2026, the choice of properties will increase further with the recent opening of the Novotel Tallinn – introducing contemporary four-star comfort with international standards and central-city convenience. 

Beyond the capital, several new nature and wellness-focused accommodations and retreats will open in the coming year, including:

Eha Retreat, opening in August 2026, is a new, luxury, light-filled, rejuvenation retreat on the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve island of Hiiumaa. With eight spacious suites and three forest cabins, Eha has been designed to harmonise with its surroundings to align body, mind, and spirit, with the island’s unique five-season rhythm. Green Michelin Star chef Peeter Pihel will curate seasonal farm-to-table menus which celebrate the retreat’s organic kitchen garden. Prices for the five-night, full board retreat €8575 for one person, €12,750 for two persons sharing.

Kurro Nature Spa, opening mid-summer on Lake Peipus, this luxury, boutique hotel will offer a lakeside spa experience rooted in Estonian sauna traditions and natural surroundings. Prices TBC

Courtyard by Marriott Tallinn City Center is scheduled to open in mid-2026, bringing a modern and thoughtfully designed experience to the heart of the city. The hotel will feature 108 contemporary guest rooms tailored for both business and leisure travellers, along with a stylish on-site restaurant. Pricing details will be announced closer to the opening date.

Taju Kupliaas Dome Meadow, distinctive, atmospheric, dome-shaped cabins for two, immersed in a forest meadow just a 30 min drive from Tallinn. Appealing to slow-travel and eco-conscious visitors. From €240 per night

Dharma Resort is a peaceful and stylish forest retreat on the island of Muhu, next to Saaremaa, with contemporary sanctuary lodges for two. Here, Nordic simplicity meets Japanese aesthetics, and each house has a private sauna and spacious views of the serene juniper and pine forests. €723 per night, adults only.

REUTE Residences Vosu, opened in late 2025 in the picturesque seaside village of Vosu, amongst the pine trees on the edge of the Lahemaa National Park, only an hour from Tallinn. New tours & experiences

To meet the growing demand for guided exploration across the country, several new experiences have been launched: 

  • White Nights Open Water Swimming Guided Holiday – This week-long trip welcomes swimmers of all abilities (non-swimmers are eligible for a 10% discount) and focuses on “dip and explore” style swims set against the backdrop of Estonia’s long “White Nights,” forest lakes, rivers and Baltic coastline.
