One of Brighton’s most iconic landmarks, The Grand Hotel epitomises timeless elegance for the modern traveller. Perfectly positioned on the seafront by the historic West Pier, the hotel now offers far more than an exceptional address.
Following a meticulous £16.2 million refurbishment, the introduction of the world-class L. Raphael Beauty Spa & Wellness and the launch of a new spa membership package, The Grand Brighton has entered a new era and provides the ultimate seaside wellness escape.
Renewed & Refined

The Grand’s beautifully refurbished rooms have been thoughtfully designed to elevate comfort, tranquility, and effortless indulgence. Inspired by the invigorating sea views, the rooms and suites feature soft colour palettes that reflect the hues of Brighton’s coastline, creating a calming atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to relaxation. Whether enjoying a morning coffee on a balcony, indulging in a bubble bath overlooking the seafront or simply having some downtime, The Grand’s reimagined rooms offer a dreamy respite from the bustle of everyday life.
Reimagined Wellness

The Grand launched the L.Raphael Beauty Spa & Wellness in September 2025, as the first UK hotel to collaborate with esteemed Swiss skincare brand L.RAPHAEL. The brand new wellness space combines state-of-the-art facilities with transformative treatments, from restorative massages to re-balancing facials. Featuring a luxurious thermal suite, complete with a hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi sauna, steam room, and experience shower, the expansive spa area creates a serene oasis that feels far removed from the surrounding city. With this new and refreshed wellness offering, The Grand re-emerges as a refined wellness destination, ideal for a coastal spa escape.
New Spa Membership

Following the introduction of the L.Raphael Beauty Spa & Wellness, The Grand has just announced the launch of its annual membership for the spa and gym. The membership offers unlimited access to both the spa’s Thermal Suite and the state-of-the-art gym during opening hours, with towels, bathrobe and slippers provided, alongside access to exclusive member events, promotions and offers. Members also enjoy one complimentary guest thermal suite pass each month, two complimentary 50-minute treatments per year (a choice of body massage or signature facial), a spa birthday treat, 15% off all spa treatments, 10% off food and beverage across all bars and restaurants at The Grand for up to eight guests, and 15% off bed and breakfast stays at the hotel at any time.

Exquisite Dining

With a range of venues, The Grand offers a choice of culinary experiences to suit every occasion. From celebratory afternoon teas in the opulent Victoria Terrace and creative cocktails at the Victoria Bar & Lounge, to reimagined British classics and seasonal seafood dishes at Cyan, guests and visitors can indulge in exceptional gastronomy. About The Grand Brighton

Set along the iconic Brighton seafront, The Grand Brighton was officially opened on 21 July 1864 to great fanfare and celebrated as the original ‘Palace By The Sea’. The now famous building was revered as a feat of Victorian architectural brilliance, masterfully designed by the celebrated architect John Whichcord Jr. Brighton’s newest hotel boasted an impressive facade, ornate interiors, famously outstanding service, the very first lift outside of London – then referred to as ‘vertical omnibuses’. Today, the 160-year-old walls hold 205 beautifully designed rooms stretching over seven floors and set around the original dramatic sweeping staircase, Cyan Brighton restaurant, the Victoria Bar & Lounge and the Victoria Terrace, as well as meeting and banqueting space. Guests staying at the hotel will find themselves in proximity to Brighton’s famous attractions, including the Grade I listed Royal Pavilion and Garden, the iconic West Pier, and the lively Brighton Palace Pier.
