Aldwark Manor Estate has opened its new Salus Spa, a beautifully designed wellness destination where nature, tranquillity and holistic wellbeing come together. Set within the peaceful Yorkshire countryside, Salus Spa offers guests an elevated escape centred on restoration, mindful movement and modern wellness.
Named after the Roman goddess of safety, health, and prosperity, the new spa is designed to be a sanctuary for relaxation, fitness and holistic wellbeing. Following a £12 million investment, the new spa offers both indoor and outdoor facilities, combining contemporary design with the Aldwark Manor signature sense of tranquillity.
A new era of relaxation
Stepping into Salus Spa, guests are welcomed into a calming world of thermal experiences, rejuvenating treatments, state-of-the-art fitness spaces, and a stunning spa garden overlooking the beautiful grounds. Thoughtfully crafted interiors, natural textures and softly lit spaces create an atmosphere designed to soothe the senses and encourage deep relaxation.

“Our vision for Salus Spa was to create a sanctuary where guests can genuinely slow down,” says Aldwark Manor Estate’s General Manager, Richard Smith. “From the thermal journey to the mindful studio classes, every detail has been designed to help people feel restored, balanced and connected.”
Salus Spa’s thermal suite invites visitors to pause, unwind and immerse themselves in a journey of heat, hydrotherapy and quiet reflection. Facilities include:
- 15-metre indoor swimming pool – A serene space for gentle laps or peaceful rest, bathed in soft natural light.
- Sauna – Offering soothing heat complemented by views over the surrounding estate.
- Salt steam room – A purifying, mineral-rich experience designed to ease tension and support respiratory wellbeing.
- Heated loungers – Perfect for melting away stress between experiences.
- Outdoor hydrotherapy pool – Combining fresh country air with powerful jets to relax tired muscles and elevate wellbeing.

Fitness, movement and mindful practice
Wellness at Salus extends beyond relaxation. The spa’s Technogym fitness suite features world-leading equipment designed to support strength, cardiovascular fitness and functional training, including Excite 19 treadmills, Group Cycle Connect bikes and a full range of performance-led machines.

In the dedicated movement studio, guests can join an inspiring programme of classes, from high-energy HIIT, Bootcamp and Group Cycle to calming Yin Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and guided Full Body Stretch sessions. Outdoor Run Club sessions use the estate’s picturesque grounds as a natural motivator.
