MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON TEA AT THE DEV

Mother’s Day afternoon tea will be served during the week leading up to the actual day, from Monday 9th to Sunday 15th March. The delicious menu, especially for this occasion comprises a selection of freshly baked savouries, such as goats’ cheese and red onion tart, home-made sandwiches, generously filled with tasty smoked salmon, dill and crème fraiche or roast beef with Dijon mustard and more; and delicate patisserie, such as dark chocolate and pistachio gateaux opera, vanilla mousse and Yorkshire rhubarb, and raspberry financier.

All enjoyed in traditional style with a pot of tea, whether that be traditional Yorkshire breakfast tea, a delicate herbal or fruit infusion, an organic green variety or other speciality tea. Mark the occasion perhaps with a glass of sparkling Champagne, such as their popular Delamotte Cuvée (£15 per glass) and raise a toast to celebrate Mum.

MOTHER’S DAY LUNCH AT THE BRASSERIE

Available on Mothering Sunday, 15th March only, a special three-course meal will be served in the Devonshire Arms Brasserie, enjoy a seasonal spring menu for £50 (served between 12 noon and 8pm) with a wide selection of delicious locally-sourced dishes to choose from.

In addition, there is also a selection of bar nibbles to enjoy with an aperitif, priced from £4.50 – £6.50 to enjoy as an optional extra, whilst you decide what to order for your main meal.

Savour delicious favourites, lovingly created with fresh seasonal produce include starters, such as butternut squash tortellini with sage butter, and smoked salmon and crab tartlet with lemon crème fraiche; mains of slow braised lamb shoulder or seared seabass fillet with crushed jersey royals confit fennel and brown shrimp butter, leaving space for mouth-watering desserts; choose from  a fine selection on offer, banoffee pavlova, Dulce de leche, Chantilly cream and caramelised banana or Dark Chocolate mousse, passionfruit sorbet, chocolate and hazelnut tuille, it’s a hard decision which one to choose.

MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON TEA AT THE FELL

The Fell has created a special afternoon tea for Mums which will run over a few days giving a sense of occasion to the whole weekend, from 13th to 15th March (Friday – Sunday inc) 12 noon – 4.30pm.

A selection of savouries to start the delicious treat includes delicate home- made sandwiches, red pepper and cheese scones, smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis and smoked bacon Gougères.

Moving onto sweet temptations, these are lemon drizzle cake, Paris Brest with hazelnut praline cream, Opera cake and freshly-baked plain scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

Priced at £28.50 per person and includes hot beverages, with a selection of teas, coffees, and optional Prosecco or Champagne to toast the occasion, and admire those beautiful Dales views from their restaurant.
