Launching today, British independent brand The Camden Watch Company (www.camdenwatchcompany.com), founded by wife and husband team Anneke Short and Jerome Robert in 2014, are releasing the first of their No.274 Automatic Skeleton watches.
The No.274 Skeleton Edition Automatic is an ode to timekeeping, a watch which reveals the beauty of time in motion. At its centre lies the signature symbol, inspired by the elegant ironwork of the bridge over Regent’s Canal, it is a tribute to the industrial spirit that flows through Camden’s veins.
Anneke Short, Co-Founder of The Camden Watch Company says: “Every gear, line, and curve has been meticulously refined until it felt unmistakably ours. A watch designed to be seen, worn, and loved. If you’re familiar with the Camden and Regent’s Park area, our design is based on what is known as Bridge 10 and is one of the cast iron arch bridges designed by John Fowler, built in 1866, and features decorative cast iron work which is where we drew our inspiration. The Victorians had a remarkable way of turning even the most functional structures into works of art, and for us, this bridge, with its beautiful ironwork, perfectly captures that spirit.”
This unisex automatic timepiece features a 38 mm case with the skeleton dial being protected by a Sapphire Crystal on the front and back which displays the inside workings of the watch as well. The automatic movement is Japanese Automatic (Miyota 90S5).
The timepiece has three dial colours: navy blue, purple and black. The black dial version features purple details on the dial as well as an orange seconds hand. The timepieces are priced at £460 in stainless steel case and £485 for rose gold and black ion-plated stainless steel cases. Prices listed within the release are in GBP but products can be shipped worldwide.
