What do you do in January when the days are cold and it’s less exciting than the previous month? We suggest you go and check out Heavenly Desserts York limited edition menu.
Running between now and 15th February the new pop-up menu is a nod to a healthier, heartier, and more relaxed vibe. Whether you’re looking to change your eating habits, choose a healthier breakfast, or simply want to try something new, this is the menu for you.
Heavenly Desserts York

January doesn’t have to mean restriction as Heavenly Desserts is redefining “New Year, New Me” with indulgence you’ll actually enjoy.
The limited-time menu is designed to balance wellness and pleasure, proving that healthier choices don’t have to compromise on flavour. Aptly titled “Indulgence You’ll Feel Good About,” the new range offers vibrant, nourishing brunch dishes that support a fresh start while still delivering the brand’s signature indulgence.
Offering feel-good options that taste just as indulgent as they look. From protein-packed pancakes to trend-led matcha lattes, the range is crafted for those who want to enjoy food that works with their goals, not against them.
We visited the York Heavenly Desserts café on a freezing cold January day, but from the moment we entered it was warm, inviting, and the staff were lovely.

We tried the Blueberry Protein Pancakes, the Acai Bowl, and the Sparkling Honey & Ginger Green Tea from the January menu. These were perfect options to try alongside a couple of brunch dishes from the usual menu. We opted for the Shakshuka (£11.75) with garlic sourdough, and the Dubai Chocolate Crepe Rolls (£11.25) alongside a cafe latte (£4.50) and smoothie (£5.95).
Everything was extremely tasty and filling, especially the Acai Bowl, which was packed to the rafters with fresh fruit, granola, coconut shavings, seeds and acai. It could have easily fed two people! The Blueberry Pancakes were outstanding, and the pancake stack was overflowing with delicious blueberries and compote.
We were shocked at how refreshing the Sparkling Honey & Ginger Green Tea was. It wasn’t overpowered by ginger, there was just a hint, and both the honey and green tea balanced the entire drink. This was absolutely wonderful to have alongside the acai bowl and pancakes.
The Shakshuka was full of flavour, a fiery brunch dish, which the green tea helped to calm the heat. But it was truly tasty and an excellent sized serving.
We couldn’t fault anything with the food, maybe the crepes could have had a little more chocolate, but I’m sure if we’d have asked Ali, who looked after our table would have brought a small amount of their moreish hot melted chocolate.
In Conclusion
All in all, this was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon at Heavenly Desserts York. I don’t think we could choose a favourite dish as they all were so different, but personally the Acai Bowl and the Blueberry Pancakes were simply divine!
