2023 marks an exciting year for the nation’s favourite burger joint, Byron Burger. With 12 restaurants across the UK and widely available via Deliveroo, Byron Burger is taking the brand back to its original roots.
It’s celebrating consumers’ all-encompassing love for burgers, especially ones that get the taste buds tingling, ones that combine complimenting ingredients, and all round, evoke joy, delight and pure indulgence! The Legendary Byron Burger is all of that.
To celebrate this, Byron Burger has delved deep into its archive of delicious burgers and chosen a selection of firm favourites to be relaunched every month. The Big Smoke was the burger for March, and we sent our writer, Rachel McAlley to try it out at the York city centre Byron.

Byron’s The Big Smoke – is a meat feast of a burger. Moreover, it consists of a juicy grass-fed British Beef 6oz patty, topped with slow-roasted beef, and mature cheddar. Firstly, there’s smoked streaky bacon and crispy tangy onions. Secondly, there’s smoky chilli BBQ mayo, pickles, and a layer of fresh lettuce. Thirdly, is your mouth watering yet, and are you dreaming of burgers for dinner?
Byron Burgers Legends
Following The Big Smoke there will be several other burgers, including the Run Rarebit Run, which has just launched as April’s option. Equally, these will be followed by Uncle Sam and the Reuben to name just a few of the others.

Bet you want to get your hands on April’s Run Rarebit Run don’t you? Comprising a juicy 6oz British beef patty, and smoked bacon covered in an oozy Rarebit cheese melt. Not forgetting pickled cucumbers, red onion and of course mustard mayo. Honestly, are you drooling at the sound of this burger?
Rachel and her family tucked into The Big Smoke, along with a Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and Kid’s Cheeseburger. Also, they ordered skin on fries, and the tastiest onion rings ever!

The Big Smoke was priced at £13.95, and the latest legend, the Run Rarebit Run is also priced at £13.95. Furthermore, all sides and drinks are priced separately. For more information visit Byron Burger.
